I stumbled upon what appears to be an entry level CMS solution today that merits some further examination. Perch is an inexpensive (less than $60 license) CMS that appears to create a bridge to permit CMS functionality on a slightly reduced scale for both you and your client.

Set up and installation is a snap and the investment isn’t so large that you need to restructure your budget. The interface seems very intuitive and user friendly even for more of a novice user

The software can be applied to an existing site also which is very appealing. It’s also fully customizable for logo, graphics and color combination. If you are looking for a CMS option for your client that offers dual control on a more basic site this tool just might be your solution.

Image management is also a breeze.

Perch uses PHP5 and MySQL,  therefore not a problem to get running on a typical shared hosting account. We at Green Seed Web Design can offer a site design or redesign with Perch built in after we have run it through it’s paces.
