I get caught up in "what do people want to read," instead of "what do I want to write?" My blog posts started to come much easier and (I hope) began to offer so much more when I quit trying to write for some particular audience and just started writing. I look at my blog (it's a personal essay blog, so I'm really not limited by topic - or by any need to "monetize") as the writing that Charles Bukowski once said you had to do every darn day if you wanted to be a writer. So my blog is sort of warm-up exercises for that book that I may never write, or for the autobiography I may never publish! The forum however, has been helpful. If 5000 people are wasting 100 hours because of lousy, outdated docs, well, do the math. They could invest 100 hours of their time and save us all many hours of frustration. I can't believe how inaccurate some of the docs are, and they can really screw a person up. I fixed some of the Wiki pages, but I don't know enough to make them more usable.
